“we each live
a whole world in one story
– let it be a love story
we have only one lifetime in which to love ourselves
so let us be naked
and let us be known”

Service.

I offer 50 minute online counseling (telehealth) sessions for individual adults (ages 18+).

All sessions are conducted using a HIPAA compliant audio-video platform. You must be a resident of and physically present in WA State during the time of your session to participate.

Rate.

My rate is $160 per session.

Please acknowledge that paying this rate if you can afford it directly supports my capacity for seeing those who need the gift of financial relief without having to compromise on receiving affirming care. In doing so, we collectively work towards economic justice at the local level. If cost is a barrier for you, consider joining Open Path Collective where affordable therapy is made accessible for those uninsured or in financial hardship. As part of this initiative, I am committed to offering $60 per session for up to 25% of my practice through Open Path. Visit my profile to check my availability. I also encourage you to explore other Open Path therapists in WA State should you find someone who better meets your needs.

Guide to Getting Started.

  1. Join a free 30 minute consultation to jointly explore our fit. You’re welcome to ask questions about me and my approach to therapy. There is no pressure to decide on the call. I’m also happy to provide referrals if we believe there is not a fit.

  2. If we choose to initiate a therapeutic relationship, you will complete an intake packet online through your Client Portal before our first session.

  3. Your counseling journey is well on its way once your intake packet is completed and our first session is scheduled. Share your story at your own pace and stay open to where this journey takes you.

Cancellation Policy.

If you ever need to reschedule or cancel, please get in touch with me at least 24 hours before your session to avoid being potentially fully charged for late cancellations or no-shows. In case of unexpected circumstances or emergencies (life happens), I am able to waive these charges at my discretion. At any time, I am open to conversations around scheduling and how therapy is working or not working for you.

Insurance.

I do not bill insurance. As an out-of-network (OON) provider, I am able to provide you with a monthly Superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit for reimbursement with your insurance company. I cannot guarantee reimbursement, so I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to learn more. Here are questions you can ask. Let me know if you have interest in using your OON insurance benefits. The process of generating a Superbill requires me to assign you a diagnosis. We can dialogue the applicability and implications of this so that you can make an informed decision.

Good Faith Estimate.

In pursuant to the No Surprises Act enacted on January 1, 2022, a new federal law providing financial protections against surprise medical bills, you are entitled to receive prior to our first session and on annual basis a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the expected charges could be for counseling services provided to you for up to 12 months. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have a right to dispute the bill. Additional details will be included as part of your intake packet.
